Being involved in the golf business her entire life, Marla brings a special dedication to Bear Creek Golf Course. Her passion is to introduce the game of golf to as many people as possible. Marla is an LPGA Member and loves to work with beginners, as well as accomplished players. Since her purchase of the golf course from her father in 1995, she has worked to continually upgrade the course and the facilities, enduring major rebuilding after the 1997 floods. In 1998, she was chosen "Woman Entrepreneur of the Year" by the Women Entrepreneurs of Oregon. In 2001, Marla received her LPGA certification, and in 2008 she earned her Class A title. Her enthusiasm for the game is positively contagious and the course reflects her friendly, nurturing personality.
