Bear Creek Golf Center (BCGC) Toptracer League
Two-Man Teams (1 vs 1) Match Play
Tuesdays 5pm -7pm
(10 Team Max)
Two-person teams will play nine-hole, stroke-play matches against another assigned team each week. All teams will play the same preselected course on Bear Creek Golf Center’s (BCGC) Toptracer virtual monitors. Matchups will rotate weekly. Team members will face off one vs. one. Points will be recorded and submitted on a shared scoresheet.
The league will start on February 20th, 2024, and run through early May 7th, 2024. Every team will play the other teams in the league once, with a six-team playoff following the regular season.
A one-time league Fee will be paid to BCGC before the start of week one ($120 per team or $60 per Golfer). Each Team will receive two dozen Callaway Supersoft golf balls.
Weekly Time Dues will be paid by each golfer. There will be a $20 weekly fee per person. Each team is required to pay for their two player positions even in the event of a no-show. The $20 weekly fee will include one domestic beer or soda.
Matchups will take place in one bay, 4 golfers per bay. The duration of your matchup will be split between the four golfers. Warm-up will start at 5 p.m. every week. Matches will begin at 5:30 p.m. and continue until all matches within the group are completed. If matches are not completed before 7 p.m., the points up until that time will be counted.
One vs. one matchup will be determined by a coin flip at the start of the round. The winner of the flip gets to choose the 1v1 matchup.
A different golf course will be selected by BCGC each week for the 9-hole competition. All Golfers will play from the same selected tees. Pre-made scorecards will be made and placed in each bay that is assigned to the teams. Bay assignments can be found at the pro shop counter before each round.
Handicaps will be inputted weekly, using your current handicap. Scoring and standings will be updated weekly and posted to the BCGC website.
Subs will be allowed and must have a current GHIN handicap. Subs must be added to the team roster before the date of play for the week.
Late Arrivals - If a golfer is late for the start of the round, they can join in when they arrive. Automatically, points will be awarded to the opposing golfer for each missed hole. No Shows is an automatic 9 points for the opposing team.
Mulligans are only allowed for one of two reasons.
- Incorrect reading from the tracking system (must be confirmed by all players in a foursome).
- Your screen tracks a neighboring mats golf ball.
Tees are only to be used from the tee box. No teeing up for any other subsequent shots.
Standings and Playoffs
Standings will be updated weekly and ranked based on points earned. At the end of the final week, the top six teams will enter a single elimination playoff. Bracket position will be determined by finishing position in the regular season. The top two teams at the end of the regular season will receive first round byes. The third-place team will play the sixth-place team in week 1 of the playoffs. The fourth-place team will play the fifth-place team in week 1 of the playoffs. Regular bracket play will be used with no reseeding after week 1.
The top 4 finishing teams will be paid out!
Scoring sheets will be provided each week and will detail team matchups, courses and tees for that week. Teams will have one sheet for their matchup that will be completed together by all members of both teams. Scoring sheets will be certified by both teams before submission at the end of the round.
The Point System is as follows:
- 1 point is earned for a hole that is won outright.
- ½ point will be awarded to each golfer if the hole is tied.
- ½ point will be awarded to each golfer that scores a birdie or better on a hole regardless of if they have won that hole.
- 2 points will be awarded to the two-man team with the lowest Net Score (combined)
- 0 points will be awarded for losing the hole outright.
Net Score: A golfer’s score after handicap strokes have been deducted.
Total Score: The actual score recorded above/below/even to par without handicap or simply the actual number of strokes taken by a player.
